Your boating holiday starts right here
I was sailing across the East mallorcan coast in August. It wa an awesome experience. I had time to relax, getting to know new people, and learn a range variety of things, including how to prepare a Spritz, con to lead the boat, how to prepare “spaguetti al aglio e pepperoncino”. I saw amazing sunsets, so, I strongly recommend the experience that I will definitely repeat next year. Thanks Captain Bernie!
Although I consider myself quite experienced in spending time on sailing boats, this particular trip really struck me. I spent one week between Palma de Mallorca and Menorca and besides seeing some fantastic places, the crystal clear sea had such a deep blue that from time to time I felt like being at the Maldives. I found a group of people who made me feel at ease from the very first day. I have to thank Bernie for his competence in creating an atmosphere where everybody finds quickly his/her role. This is a trip where you can blend the relaxation of slow sailing and, at the same time, the energy of people who are looking to have fun. This killed the routine and turned each day into a small surprise. The only problem: the days just passed too fast!! I’m willing to live again this experience as soon as possible.
I spent many summers sailing with friends on their boats and I always had a great time. This year, however, I wanted to try something different. So I decided I would take a week all for myself joining a group of people who would be sailing around Palma de Mallorca. Initially I was a little hesitant on how this would be working out but gradually this was replaced by a feeling of comfort. Although I had never met any of the people on board, thanks to the competence and “team building” atmosphere created by the skipper, we soon felt like we had always known each other. Dividing tasks came as a natural process. Some had fun cooking, some showed their creativity while preparing appetizers at the sunset. Some showed their sailing competence. Unavoidably, every night we ended up in full relax under a starlit sky, listening to the music chosen by the skipper. What can I say? Thanks Bernie! Thanks for caring in creating an atmosphere where everyone felt at ease and part of something in that enchanting scenario. I can’t wait to be back on board!
